The Basic model provides:

  • Speed control
  • Momentum
  • Directional lighting
  • 4 sound triggers (user programmable for other types of outputs).

The Plus model has all of the features of the Basic model,

Plus features you won't find anywhere else:

  • Automated station stops
  • Multiple trains on the same track with automatic separation
  • Statistical control of both station stops and track activated whistle
  • Low battery warning and cutoff system for Lithium batteries
  • Dual 5 amp outputs for Phoenix Sound Remote Un-Couplers or Smoke units.

All done with a small 6-button transmitter. All connections are made via screw terminals. Twelve user programmable functions. Compatible with MyLocoSound, Phoenix Sound, and others.

One transmitter will can control all of your locos, any one at a time. Two transmitters are required to control two locos at the same time.

Receiver dimensions: 3.45"L x 2.05"W x 0.9"H

Options:

Model: Basic or Plus.

Motor Driver: 5 Amp or 10 Amp (for double heading with one receiver, or some dual motor locos)

Mounting Plate: Provides a nice flat surface for mounting with double sided tape, and it also protects the bottom of the circuit board from short circuits. Adds 1/4"H to RB4.

Transmitter: Long Range transmitters (up to 800 feet line-of-sight). Please order separately; TX4A or TX3A

I have tested a number of radio control systems and find yours to be by far the best.

On top of that, your customer service and quick delivery is unmatched in the hobby.

I love the “learn” feature and not having to program and coordinate frequencies between the RX and TX.

The price is right.

And perhaps most importantly the trains run every time, making the hobby enjoyable instead of frustrating.

I'm amazed at the range and conditions under which my RailBoss 4 performs.  I have a steel lined concrete encased tunnel 2 meters long and from 40 meters away I can stop, start or reverse my locos while they are IN THE TUNNEL!! I can be perpendicular to the tunnel when doing this. The system works flawlessly.
2.4 GHZ Radio System
  • No interference from locomotive motors or other radio/noise sources. No filters needed.
  • Multiple Operators can run on the same layout. There are no frequencies or channel assignments.
  • Your locomotive (receiver) "Learns" your transmitter and will respond to no others.
  • Excellent Radio Range, tested up to 400/800 ft.
  • Control all of your locomotives from the same transmitter, any one at a time.
  • 2.4 GHZ Digital Spread Spectrum technology, FCC certified.

Transmitter
  • The perfect size transmitter fits in the palm of your hand, easily carried in your pocket.
  • 6 buttons control a multitude of functions with an easy to use interface, without the need for an expensive battery eating display.
  • Transmitter is always ready. No waiting to link with receiver at power-up. No on/off switch. No calibration.
  • 3 1/4" X 2 1/2" NEMA 4 contoured case with internal antenna. Long life AAAA batteries.
