It has come to our attention that some of the part numbers for the Meanwell Power Supplies that we recommend in our TrackSide R/C manual are becoming out of date. There are a bunch of Meanwell power supplies, and most all are suitable for use with the TrackSide R/C. Here is a new document which will help you find the one you need, and give you the option of finding one for the lowest cost. Meanwell Power Supplies |

We been shipping our Standard Transmitters for RailBoss 4 and TrackSide R/C with a single 3 volt CR2032 coin cell battery for years now. They work great in most aspects: long lasting, light weight, easy to find replacments. However, the one nagging problem has been infant mortality. Every once in awhile, we test a transmitter prior to shipment, including measuring the battery voltage, and all is well. But then we get a call from the customer .... dead on arrival or shortly after startup. Not good. We think the source of the problem is the quality of the batteries. So, all RailBoss 4 transmitters have been redesigned to take two 1.5 volt AAAA Alkaline batteries, the same as our Long Range Transmitters use. This should improve both reliability and batttery life. Since AAAA batteries may be a bit harder to find, we have made them available here on the website if you can't find them locally. AAAA
As we continue to evaluate our product offerings, we are always trying to make improvements. Would you please take a moment to tell how you use your RailBoss 4 Plus?
Take our short survey now. Thanks in advance! $15 off TrackSide R/C Base Unit & Transmitter
Base Unit with Standard Range Transmitter: Was $229, now only $214. Base Unit with Long Range Transmitter: Was $239, now only $239. Long time customer, Dan Padova, inquired about using the RailBoss 4 Multi-Trains feature in a double reversing loop. While we haven't tested it yet, it should work, given a few restrictions: only two trains, and 100% station stops. Learn More
We just added a new slide show for a presentation on Converting to Power in our manuals and documents section. These slides document a presentation given to our local clubs. If you are new to battery power, it may give you a few tips!
Alan Olson, Museum Chair for the Denver Garden Railway Society, recently completed 100% conversion to G-Scale Graphics TrackSide R/C controls for their railroad, replacing older systems that continue to fail.
